Napa Valley, privatelyCork & Barrel is a small, family-run tour company built on a simple observation: the best wine days in Napa are the ones the guest designed, not the ones a fixed itinerary imposed.
Napa has more than four hundred wineries. Anybody can send you a list. What is harder is the logistics behind a good day — which estate to visit first, how long a tasting actually takes, when to eat, and where the traffic will be at four in the afternoon.
That is our job. We take the wineries you already want to visit and build the day around them: the route, the reservations, the timing, the driving. If you would rather have suggestions, we have opinions and a shortlist we are happy to share. But the choice stays yours.
“The driver knew the valley better than our concierge. He rerouted us around a harvest block on Silverado Trail and we still made every reservation with time to spare.”Private client · New York
We work with the same chauffeurs, estate hosts and hotel concierges year after year. It is why appointments happen.
The person who plans your day is reachable on the day. No call centre, no dispatcher reading from a screen, no ticket number.
A single hourly or daily rate agreed in advance, including fuel, tolls, parking and chauffeur waiting time. No surprise gratuity line on the invoice.
Which estates are worth the detour, which tasting rooms are trading on a reputation, and where to eat between stops. We live here.
Late-model Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac, detailed before every tour, with water, chargers and umbrellas on board as standard.
Many of our guests are recognisable. We do not photograph them, post about them, or discuss their plans with anyone outside the booking.
Stay longer at the estate you love. Skip the one you do not. We adjust the route and call ahead — that flexibility is the product.
Send your dates and your winery list. We will reply with a route, a vehicle and a fixed quote.
